Winter has ended, and Spring is around the corner. this is what the staff at GCF Manga & Anime actually ended up watching:
Yakusoku no Neverland
Status: Dropped after 1 episode
Reason: there is nothing particularly wrong we found with this anime. this is just one of those really good titles that we never ended up watching...

Domestic na Kanojo
Status: Dropped after 1 episode
Reason: The manga ruined it for us. Someone said that you really shouldn't compare it to Kuzu no Honkai (Scums wish), but, with so many similarities, in the overall premise, we weren't prepared to go through all that drama, and not have a fulfilling ending. such a pity, because it is extremely well written

The Magnificent KOTOBUKI
Status: watching
Reason: We are huge WW2 fans and this anime struck the right chord for us. We took a chance in forgiving the cheap CGI and lazy writing, and we were not disappointed, with the attention to detail, and heart-stopping dogfights. this is not for everyone

W'z
Status: dropped after 1 episode
Reason: We lost interest. nothing more...

Girly Air force
Status: Watching
Reason: Another title that would have been ruined by the overuse of CGI and sloppy writing. it is exactly like Arpeggio of Blue Steel, but with Jets, instead of battleships. The fast-paced dogfights, attention to detail, and Waifu material are all winners here

The Quintessential Quintuplets
Status: Dropped after 2 episodes
Reason: It was pure agony to watch. Queue the stereotypical Harem tropes, but without any of the redeeming features of every other harem (you know exactly which ones I'm talking about)

Rising of the Shield Hero
Status: watching
Reason: I'm watching it, you're watching it, everybody is watching it. from the word go, it's dispensed with the idea of the overpowered main character effortlessly saving the world, and replaced it with a main character who is cynical and edgy because he was screwed over for "being weak" and also introduced us to Raphtalia, an side character, with what can only be described as having something that borders on Stockholm Syndrome, cheering him on at every turn.

Kaguya-sama: Love Is War
Status: watching
Reason: this is easily the funniest anime this season. what happens is two super intelligent Tsundere-type characters, the school president, and vice president, fall in love with each other. With the constantly meddling council secretary breaking the tension (our pick for best girl), and the ultra paranoid Council Treasurer

Dororo
Status: watching
Reason: Hands down, our favourite anime this season. An edgy, blood-soaked, love letter to the original manga from 50 years ago. this anime hits all the right chords for us, with plenty of "That was waaay to real" moments. unlike other titles on this list, this has the kind of drama we DO enjoy.
